Description

The former Scarborough Building Society headquarters building comprising a detached, purpose built office over three floors extending to approx 50,073 sqft (4,651.90 sum). Fordy Marshall negotiated the agreement of terms for the letting in 2017, and subsequent sale in 2019.

Scope of Project

Acting on behalf of Skipton Building Society, who acquired the Scarborough Building Society in 2015, our appointment was to either let or sell this headquarters building following its vacation in 2013. A full marketing campaign was undertaken, together with an assessment of redevelopment options.

Terms were ultimately agreed with York Potash Ltd for a letting of the whole, commencing May 2017, with an option to purchase.

The purchase option was taken up and the sale completed in May 2019.
